Kendyll Dicker
Kendyll Dicker? You might want to sit down and make yourself comfortable for this novel. There is so much that I can say about Kendyll, and you bet I'm going to say it all right now.
I first met Kendyll in our SOL group interview. Right away, I did not fancy her. She had a strong personality, and one who may not be familiar with her could find her intimidating. (It was me, I was "one".) I'm not often intimidated by others, but Kendyll definitely presented herself as powerful from the get-go. Throughout the SOL season, I came to realize that Kendyll is an easy-going, goofy, and fun-loving individual. At this point, I really began to love Kendyll. I particularly respected her communication skills and leadership style.
Now, the part where it gets good. Kendyll and I were both chosen as Student Ambassadors for the 2019-20 academic year. We began to work a lot of tabling events, long events, and off-site events together and we became so familiar with one another; friends rather than coworkers. She and I always have a great time working events together because we are both hilarious, goofy, and positive; our personalities mesh well!
As our friendship has grown in such a relatively short amount of time, I now consider Kendyll one of my best friends here at UC Blue Ash. She has given me such great advice about my personal life, advice that I will carry with me for a long, long time. I also think it's safe to say that I have given her some great advice as well. As crazy and ecstatic as Ken can be, she knows how to get serious when you need a shoulder to lean on. She is one solid shoulder. I am so glad I met her, and that I was gifted the opportunity to create a beyond-the-surface-level friendship with her. We can count on each other to uphold our professional values, and to hold each other accountable. I will always have Kendyll's back and I'm confident she has mine.
I am so proud of Kendyll. She has grown so much as an individual while she has been in the Student Ambassador position. I see her life's purpose working through her everyday when I see how connected she is within our campus, off campus, and in life. I know the universe has really BIG things in store for Kendyll's future. I can't wait to see where life takes her next, and I hope I can be there cheering her on! I will be forever grateful for Ms. Kendyll Dicker.
Chick-fil-A date soon?? Love you!
