Week 13: November 17 - November 23
This week was a very special and busy one! For starters, it was my "birth-week"! I was born on November 20th and I got to spend the day with close friends. I had six Ambassador events this week, and I think it was the first week where I had an event every day! It has been awesome getting involved with events that I didn't know that I would like so much.
Ambassador events included Coat Drive Tabling, Recruitment Tabling, Etiquette Dinner, a Campus visit,French Film Festival, and Poster Hanging. For coat drive tabling, I sat with Stella and Sage to retrieve gently used coats from students to donate to people in need. I created the sign for the table! For Recruitment Tabling, there were many establishments and businesses here on campus recruiting new college workers. The Etiquette Dinner was a dinner for highlighted UCBA students who wanted to learn common professional dinner etiquette. It was very fun to learn while serving the food. We had a Mason HS campus visit Wednesday. I helped Professor Ballah at her last French Film Festival. I also hung up posters and took down old ones on Friday.
Servant leadership was shown by partaking in all of these Ambassador events despite having heavy school work, another job, and a personal life. It gets overwhelming balancing it all, but it is so rewarding in the end.
In class, we are wrapping some final chapters, and working on end of semester group projects and papers or exams. I am ready for some Winter Break relaxation!
