Week 11: November 3 - November 10
This week was another hectic scene! I had multiple Ambassador events, multiple Admissions shifts, and lots of meetings and homework. What a whirlwind!
For the events I took part in, I was a campus tour guide for multiple high schools. The local high school seniors were super excited to check out our campus. I helped with the Homecoming Pep Rally, as the games and music captain. We were able to give out free football tickets, free shirts, and free food. A college student's dream! Students gathered all around and had a blast! I also took part in my first French Film Festival and it was very entertaining and interesting. Many community members and students came to watch The Raven. I also volunteered for the Mathew 25 Ministries Hunger 5K run! Stella, Sage, Kendyll, Kifaya, Josh, Duha, and Aj worked the water station. It was a lot of fun!
My example of servant leadership includes being a tour guide for some nervous seniors. I could tell I helped relieve their concerns and persuade them to lean towards confirming here at UCBA. They felt the tours were well worth their visit! I walked an extra mile by giving my contact information to a student who was interested in Psychology. I love serving as a mentor to new students!
In class, I am studying for many upcoming exams. I am creating a Research Methods study guide and then took a Spanish exam Thursday. It has been super crazy, but I am still loving my busy schedule!
