Kifaya Mureb

I first met Kifaya during our SOL training. If you would have told me back in April that Kifaya and I would end up being close friends, I wouldn't believe you. Kifaya was very soft spoken during SOL trainings and I hadn't gotten the chance to get to know her very well until we both got chosen as ambassadors for this year.

I get the privilege of calling Kifaya a close friend, rather than coworker. She is one amazing person, whom I am very proud of. Kifaya is actually not soft spoken, she is well versed and stands up for what she believes in. She has a lot of confidence and power. She has grown a lot in the last few months and I am proud to say that I witnessed her light begin to glow brighter and longer. She has grit, dedication, motivation, and style. She is a great example of hard work being paid off. She is simply put - amazing, as she juggles school, work, and other off campus leadership positions. I am so grateful that this program brought us so close together.

I can always count on Kifaya to make me laugh if I am stressed out or having a bad day. Sometimes all I need from her is a hug, and may day instantly becomes better. A FaceTime call works too if she isn't on campus. Her laugh and her smile can light up any room she walks into. Her sarcastic sense of humor relates to mine well. We just really work well together. She is truly such a good friend and doesn't always get the credit she deserves, but I see her putting in a lot of work in different areas.

I know that Kifaya will be extremely successful wherever she heads next. I can't wait to see which professional job gets lucky enough to hire her on. She will do some pretty amazing things and I can't wait to be her forever cheerleader.

Kifaya - I am so proud of you and love you lots. Here's to some amazing memories now and to come!
