Week 6: February 16 - February 22
A long week, but a productive one! I gave a prospective tour, trained for a Chemistry session, participated in a classroom visit, and facilitated UC Smiles. I also gave several SOL interviews and worked in Admissions to throw Amber a baby shower! I've been busy with homework and am very tired from this week, but I am glad to be apart of so many great things happening at this college.
For my act of servant leadership, I helped a fellow coworker out by switching tour dates with him. Daniel had some scheduling conflicts so I helped out by rescheduling our tour dates. Being an ambassador means being flexible and we all help each other out all the time, as we are all so busy. I am glad to be a part of a team who is so kind and helpful!
In Spanish we prepped for our first exam, and took it on Wednesday. We have been learning the preterite and imperfect tense of words. In Research Methods, we are learning about independent and related samples t-tests. In Race and Environment, we are grouping up into our service learning projects and have been talking about land distribution from centuries ago. In Abnormal Psychology, we are learning about intervention types and different theories.
